# LOG10

The `LOG10()` function returns the logarithm of the given argument to base `10`.

## Syntax

```sql
LOG10 ( number )

```

## Arguments

* `number`: Number to take the logarithm of.

> **📝 Note**: `LOG10(n)` is equivalent to `LOG(n) / LOG(10)`.

## Return Type

Float or double. If number is less than or equal to 0, or if base is non-positive or 1, returns `NULL`.

## Examples

```sql
SELECT LOG10(1000);

```

```output

+-------------+
| LOG10(1000) |
+-------------+
|           3 |
+-------------+
