# AGENT-UPDATE-API-TOKEN

This command updates the current agent’s API token by generating an API token automatically and applying it to the agent’s configuration.

The API token is what other MemSQL Ops agents use to follow this agent. After updating the agent’s token, other Ops agents that are currently following this agent will have to re-follow it using [memsql-ops follow](https://docs.singlestore.com/db/v7.3/reference/memsql-ops-cli-reference/local-memsql-ops-agent-management/follow.md).

## Usage

```
usage: memsql-ops agent-update-api-token

Updates the current agent's API token and outputs the new token into standard out.
