Connect with MySQL Workbench

You will need access to your cluster prior to configuring MySQL Workbench.

Launch MySQL Workbench and open a new MySQL connection.

Enter the following information in the Setup New Connection dialog.

  1. For Hostname: enter the endpoint (SingleStoreDB) or IP Address (SingleStoreDB) for your cluster.

    • You can find the endpoint on the SQL IDE tab when you click Connect in the SingleStore Portal.

  2. Enter the port number: 3306

  3. For User: enter admin (SingleStoreDB) or root (SingleStoreDB).

  4. Click Test Connection and enter your password when prompted.

    Important

    You may have to go to the Advanced tab and insert defaultAuth=mysql_native_password in the “Others:” field to ensure proper authentication.
