  7. In the On-premises data gateways tab, open Settings for the gateway.

  8. In the Settings pane, select the following checkboxes:

    • Distribute requests across all active gateways in this cluster.

    • Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster.

    • Allow user's custom data connectors to refresh through this gateway cluster.

  9. In the Data Sources tab, select New.

  10. In the New data source dialog:

    • Select the Gateway cluster name from the list.

    • Enter a name for the data source in the Data source name field.

    • From the Data source type list, select SingleStore database.

    • For Basic Authentication,

      • In the Server field, enter the hostname or IP address of the SingleStore cluster.

      • Enter the username and password used to connect to SingleStore in the Username and Password field, respectively.

    • For Windows authentication, set up a SingleStore server for Kerberos authentication.

      • In the Server field, enter the hostname or IP address of the SingleStore cluster.

Select Skip Test Connection to resolve any connection errors that may arise due to a failed connection test, and then select Add.

The connection is now configured and ready to use. For more information, see Microsoft's Power BI documentation to enable and use the custom connector capability in the on-premises data gateway.
