# Self-Hosted Configuration for Unlimited Storage

For self-managed deployments, unlimited storage requires S3 compatible object storage.

Run [sdb-report calibrate-blob-storage](https://docs.singlestore.com/db/v9.1/reference/singlestore-tools-reference/sdb-report-commands/calibrate-blob-storage.md) to validate that your object store is S3 compatible.

Use [CREATE DATABASE](https://docs.singlestore.com/db/v9.1/reference/sql-reference/data-definition-language-ddl/create-database.md) to create an unlimited storage database.

> **📝 Note**: SingleStore will troubleshoot any issues that are reproducible on AWS S3. If an issue cannot be reproduced on AWS S3 and appears specific to a given storage system, customers should work with their storage vendor to resolve it.
