# Connect with Looker

You can configure Looker to connect with SingleStore.&#x20;

Supported version:

| Looker | 7.6.29 and later |
| ------ | ---------------- |

## Prerequisites

* Access to Looker portal.
* A SingleStore cluster in `Active` state.

## Connect Looker to SingleStore

To connect Looker to SingleStore, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the Looker portal.

2. On the Looker home page, under **Database**, select **Admin > Connections**.

3. On the **Connections** page, select **Add Connection** and enter the following details:

   * **Name**: The name of the connection.
   * **Dialect**: SingleStore 7+.
   * **Host**: The IP address or the hostname of your cluster.
   * **Port**: Default is `3306`.
   * **Database**: The name of the database.
   * The SingleStore database username and password.

4. Select **Test these settings** to test the connection settings. Once you are successfully connected, select **Add connection**.
