# SIN

Computes the sine of **x**, where **x** is given in radians.

## Syntax

```sql
SIN (x)

```

## Arguments

* x: the argument in radians

## Return Type

Float or double. NULL if **x** is NULL.

## Examples

```sql
SELECT SIN(3.14159265359);

```

```output

+----------------------------------+
| SIN(3.14159265359)               |
+----------------------------------+
| -0.00000000000020682310711021444 |
+----------------------------------+
