BIT_COUNT

Given a number, return the number of ones in its binary representation.

Syntax

BIT_COUNT ( expression )

Arguments

  • expression: any valid numeric expression.

Return Type

The number of ones bits in the binary representation. Float values are truncated. Returns NULL if expression is NULL.
